Jesse Clegg | Life On Mars

For his new album, Life on Mars, Jesse Clegg asked us to come up with a phishash concept that will show the change his music has undergone, reference his inspiration and also encourage interaction with the user… all on the cover!

But we are voluma.tv, we can do anything! Taking a cue from his Steam Punk/sci-fi/1984/industrial revolution-inspired compositions, we created interesting album art with an international flair. A different artwork was created for each of the ten songs on the album. The user can then choose which of the artworks he or she wants to use for the front cover.

This concept is also being extended into his website, the launch event and the viral campaign.

Cee Lo Green Valentine's Day App

Need help being a Lady Killer this Valentine's Day? Cee Lo Green's Valentine's Day Video Creator will help you get your message to that special person in style. Teaming up with our friends at Warner Music UK yet again, we created an online app for Cee Lo Green where visitors could create their own video messages.

Visitors could write their message, choose a video lyric video style and select their backing track. Then they could send it as an email, share the link on their facebook wall or post it for all their friends to see. Visit the website for more.

Pendulum "Crush" Screensaver

If there is a more fun way to start the year than doing some creative work for one of your favourite bands, we're yet to find it.

Hooking up with our friends over at Warner Music UK, we got to develop a screensaver as promotion for Pendulum's latest single "Crush" and the result is nothing short of awesome.

Check it out for yourself over at www.pendulum.com and be sure to pick up the album while you're there - it's one of our favourites.

James Rhodes' Virtual Piano

If you've been inspired by James Rhodes' prodigious piano skills (for a quick recap, visit his YouTube #1 music video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naO96rn16Fs) and fancy tickling the ivories yourself, a new competition for budding virtual pianists has been opened at www.jamesrhodes.tv/playpiano.

Hit that link and check out the web-based Virtual Piano we created for James. Whether you aspire to recreating Blumenfeld's 'Etude for the Left Hand' or if John Cage's '4'33"' represents your natural limitations on the piano, the competition gives novices and experts alike the chance to record their own composition.

You could walk away with a signed copy of his upcoming double album, 'Bullets & Lullabies' - the follow up to his two critically acclaimed iTunes #1 studio albums – his 2009 debut 'Razor Blades Little Pills and Big Pianos' and the 2010 follow-up 'Now Would All Freudians Please Stand Aside'..

"This has got to be the best alternative to Angry Birds to kill dull time at work playing around and trying your hand at writing tunes," said Rhodes. "Whether it's a short theme, a mini-sonata, or your own performance of a classical piece, have fun and enjoy making music. Anything that even remotely sounds like a Cheryl Cole song will be disqualified on principle. And you know the guys at Warners will be listening and you may just catch their ear..."

Wrestlerish - "Sleep" music video

Made up of 921 photos of 921 people, the new music video for "Sleep" truly is a video for the fans, by the fans. Made in less than two weeks in the summer of 2010, the photos were sourced from the Wrestlerish website and from venues across Pretoria and Gauteng.

On the day of it's release, the video was the second most viewed YouTube music video in South Africa. Several websites picked up on the hype (including One Small Seed), and Facebook and Twitter was buzzing to say the least.
